Team and Group Coaching
Teams or systems coaching can be defined as coaching for a relationship system (any two or more people) that come together having a special purpose or goal. A system could be a team, group, partnership, the entire organization or a family, friendship, etc.
I am a qualified systems coach and I got my Organization, Relationship and Systems Coaching (ORSC) development from CCR Global and I urge you to contact me when aiming to create a more positive environment within leadership teams, your team, the entire organization that: - Fosters your team growth (increased productivity and profit) - Identifies the root cause, and inspires members to find creative solutions - Aligns and motivates system members toward common goals - Boosts team unity and reduces organization and interpersonal conflicts - Develops a very healthy organization culture - Speeds up a more positive outcome during change management initiatives and transitions |
While on the other hand, Group Coaching is a learning and development process that is grounded in an experiential approach, where participants not necessarily sharing a common goal or direction but they get together, engaged and in control of their learning (and agendas). As well, group coaching also means a participatory program – where participants are actively involved throughout – not just passive listeners on a call.
Group Coaching can take a number of forms: In Person: • One hour drop-in session with different participants • A six hour program delivered over the course of several weeks or months in smaller modules (i.e. one hour sessions) to the same participants • An evening group coaching program • A one to five day intensive group coaching program |
By Phone:
• A one-off group call • A monthly group call held with the same participants each month (1.5 hours) • A six week program delivered to a group of 8 participants around a common theme • A twelve week program which meets every other week with assigned work in between • A ninety day program, delivered as both group calls and email support • A Blended program of two group calls per month, and one individual coaching call between sessions What this means is that program size for most group coaching programs is a maximum of 8 or 12, many times with groups running smaller. Small is beautiful in the world of the group coach, and the conversation is as important as any activities or approaches |
